A user wants to update the incorrect start date of an employee

Since you have cancelled the Work relationship, all the employment details got purged but the personal details still remain in the system. So all you need to do is perform a New Hire again and let the system identify the matching person records so that you can select the existing person and create a new Work relationship with the required date.
