Can Employees Reopen Completed Tasks in Journeys?

Within the Journeys framework in Oracle Fusion HCM, tasks are assigned to employees as part of structured experiences like onboarding, transitions, or role changes. When an employee completes a task and marks it as “Done,” the system locks it to prevent unauthorized edits or rework.

By design, employees cannot reopen a completed Journey task themselves. If they need to revise or update the information, they must request that the task owner—typically an HR specialist or administrator—reopen the task on their behalf.

This controlled approach ensures data accuracy, audit compliance, and process discipline.
