Department Trees and Hierarchies in Oracle HCM

Oracle HCM allows organizations to create department trees to represent hierarchical relationships within the enterprise. Using predefined tree structures, multiple department trees and their versions can be built to organize departments efficiently. The first node in a department tree represents a department, with all child nodes also being departments. A department can only appear once within the same tree version. These trees can be integrated into an organization security profile for controlled data access. The hierarchy aligns departments under divisions, legal entities, and business units to reflect the enterprise structure accurately.
