List of HDL Error Messages

E: You need to enter a valid value for the PositionId attribute. The current values are 1046595,300000006621001.

S: Check if in your template that you have used PositionCode, and BusinessUnitShortCode or not.


E: You must provide a valid reference to the parent record. Ensure that the parent record is supplied in the same file, or has already been created.

S: I was assigned the assignment number, instead of AssignmentId, WorkTermsId, and PeriodOfServiceId, when I replaced these columns, it successfully uploaded.


E: You need to enter start or end dates that don't overlap with the existing salary. The current start date is {START_DATE} and the end date is {END_DATE}.

S: This error message shows that there is an already existing salary change on the exact start and end date, the system is asking to select a different start date.


E: The assignment and work terms should be inactive from the next day after the termination

S: Check if employee is active or not


E: You can't update any pending worker info. Use the Edit Pending Worker action instead to correct the info

S: There is a pending worker record, that you are trying to update.


E: The value of the attribute AssignmentId: 300000064670394786 is in-active. isn't valid.

S: Check what is the current assignment number active for an employee in the system


E: You need to enter a valid value for the AssignmentId attribute. The current values are 225980786.

S: Check the employee assignment number in the .dat file


E: The salary record won't be updated from the grade rate or step rate because the current salary currency doesn't match the grade ladder currency.
CMP-1005486

S: Change the person’s salary basis or grade ladder so that they both have the same currency. Or, enter the 


E: The salary can't be updated from the grade ladder because the grade or step is missing a rate. CMP-1005487

S: Update the grade ladder to include the correct rate. Or, enter the salary amount directly.


E: The legislative data group of the grade ladder and salary basis aren't the same, so the salary can't be updated from the grade ladder. CMP-1005737

S: Change the person’s grade ladder or salary basis so that they are both in the same legislative data group. Or, enter the salary amount directly.


E: The salary record won’t be updated from the grade ladder because the current salary amount isn’t determined by user or simple components. PER-1531881

S: Change the person’s salary to use one of the supported salary basis types. Or, enter the salary amount directly. The two supported salary basis types are: Salary amount is determined by user, and Salary amount is determined by simple components.


E: The salary won't be updated because a salary change exists in the future. You may need to update the salary later.
PER-1531882

S: Enter the salary update manually. Update future-dated salary rows, if necessary


E: The salary won't be updated because the proposed grade rate or step rate isn't greater than the current salary.
PER-1531885

S: You won’t see this warning message if you enable the Update salary if proposed salary is less than current salary setting of the Configure Compensation Global Settings task. Or, you can address the issue by entering the salary 
amount directly.


E: The salary can't be updated from the grade rate or step rate because the grade ladder calculates salary using a formula. PER-1531886

S: You see this message if the grade ladder associated with the person’s assignment has a Salary Calculation 
Method of Use formula. This setting is only supported in the batch processes. Manually enter the salary or change Salary. Calculation Method to Use the grade step rate.
