List of the goal management questions that you can ask from the client during requirement gathering

  • What would be the review period/evaluation period?
  • Do you currently use organizational goals?
  • Would you like to use Organization Goal?
  • Would you like to use Goals Library?
  • Will approval workflow be needed when a performance goal is created by an Employee?
  • Do you want employees to be able to request feedback about one or more of their Goals?
  • Will you have goals for specific functions/departments?
  • How many goal plans do you require, and how are each of your goal plans different?
  • What population would be assigned a goal plan?
  • What time of the year do employees enter their goals?
  • Are goals to be weighted?
  • Who can create goals for Workers? (Employee / Manager or Both)
  • Who can assign goals to Workers? (Employee / Manager or Both)
  • Do you want to require manager approval when a worker update's goal status to Complete?
  • Do you want to require manager approval when a worker deletes or cancel the goal?
  • Will employees be allowed to move or extend goals?
  • Does a newly created or updated employee goal require approval?
  • What about when a goal is canceled or deleted
  • Do goals have target outcomes?
  • Do goals have measurements (Unit of Measure, Target Value, Actual Value)?
  • Do goals have Employee tasks that need to be completed before a goal can be completed?
  • Will notifications be used?
  • Are contingent workers involved in performance reviews and ongoing check-ins
